Ten reasons why beer is better than religion

Nobody kill you for not drinking beer.

Beer does not tell you how to have sex.

Beer has never caused major wars (and inquisitions, crusades and bloody).

not force Beer on minors who can not think for themselves.

When you have beer, you do not spend it playing outside doors trying to get other people to take one.

No one burned at the stake, hanged on a gallows, or tortured to death for defending a brand of beer.

You do not have to wait more than 2,000 years for a second beer.

There are laws that dictate that beer labels can not lie to you and that should tell you about the harm they bring to their health.

You can demonstrate the existence of beer.

If you have devoted your life to beer, there are groups that can help.

GNU / Linux Part 3, the Network Configuration

Very Good for all continuing with this Manual play today to create and configure all the Local Network. Monter also

Server, which will be much more powerful client computers.

For my work and the way the Premises which is all I have chosen a square configuration bus topology, we are the most common way of placing the equipment in almost all Cybers I have seen. All the teams are one after another in line.
This setting will not give us many complications in their creation, they simply go "pulling" cable online until Connection Rosettes and within a duct to keep the cables, for aesthetics as much as this will be correct.

recommend that you visit this website: http://www.pasarlascanutas.com , you can learn a lot if you have no experience in assembly equipment or network cables come in handy
you

need
the following materials:

  1. A Router , before hiring a connection with the telephone company that interests you most, because for this type of contracts have different offers and prices.

  2. A Switch (in Castilian "Switch") or hub to connect all equipment to Router and able to give out to the Internet.

  3. Cables, rosettes Connection and Connection Terminals (WEB for Purchase) all with RJ45 connection.

  4. a server and create a domain or Working to connect all the computers together.

  5. And of course the necessary furniture for clients. For

start for Buying or Create Network Cables:

Cables To create our own look at you this Entry and must create the following types of cables:

1 .- Connect the Router to the Switch, you need a crossover cable .

2 .- Teams To Join the Switch, Standard Cables need as many as teams have to add to Ciber. The

Entry you above, find the type of cable that you recommend and is specific for Typical Local Area Network, and should be Base Category 5 UTP Cable 100 . Standard Red For FAST ETHERNET .

We could also mount the Standard Network GIGABIT ETHERNET 1000 BASE SX, but it would be much more expensive, faster but more expensive.

NOTE: could also create all the Red Inalanbrica using a wireless router , but the truth, it seems to ami most part very Face Uncertain .
Cables
When we'll grab the router and connected to the switch, use the crossover cable, since it is necessary to communicate them etre.
Follow this WEB Courses: http://informatica.iescuravalera.es is quite clear with the explanations and you get a better idea of \u200b\u200bcreation both physical and logical of the Network

Well, we only need the server, since the subject of furniture not play. Only to designate a store where we bought the board has already been cut by the furniture the "manufacture" ourselves. I have been "Chef" rather than "Friar."

The store is CMB and at least in Madrid there and apart from good prices are good materials. Hardware

Server, my server as "Monte" with this Box. Base Plate that allows me to configure the disks with a RAID Level 1 (or mirror ) with which in case of any breakdowns in the first album, we have all the data in the Other.

The Processor with 64-Bit Architecture .

The Memory , the same as with the client computers this other model but two units, I mean 4GB. The

Drives, four units as to create a RAID Level 1 must be of same capacity and brand.

And finally, this Power Supply and this set of Keyboard, Mouse Speakers, Headphones and Webcam , the same as the Client and the Monitor this model.

The price was about 520 €, but do not skimp on the server too, think that must bear the entire "Work Network in its entirety: We may see less money paid out and use a less powerful computers, but will also consider "Your Team" while working you may be "boring" and have to navigate. A party must charge customers for that, "Date" a "Capriccio."

Well with all this now follow the steps in this Entry To Install Debian Etch on the server. But we Letting Keyboard Mouse and everything else.

To Create a Working Group "Mixed" between Linux and Windows. use Samba , I'll explain in this other Entry.

you and I recommend using "familiar" with the Application Webmin, get control of your server and your whole network with a "Graphical Environment" and save yourself complications Hand editing the Linux Configuration Files.

If you think creating a website to advertise your business, you need a Web server. Apache
, and will come in handy for "Montes" any other type of server, here I leave this Tutorial System and Network Administration Linux , which will be of great help if you do not have much knowledge on Linux (this with Ubuntu, but Debian is the same.)

Finally if you want your own domain on the Internet, get one free with www.no-ip.com , Here you have what Steps.

A GREETING.

Tummy Ache When Pooing

Cybercafe GNU / Linux Part 2. PC assembly

Hi Tod @ s, starting with the issue of Create Cybercafe GNU / Linux pass through the equipment assembly customers.

We have two options:
  1. teams mount them ourselves. Buy
  2. mounted equipment:
This step determines the spending that we have according to our budget, if you decided to mount the same teams stop by this WEB is the best I've found over the Internet and explain the best possible equipment assembly. Only

Council purchase Motherboards with all-inclusive Hardware (Networking Graphics Cards & Sound) very cheap and you will do the same with Torres, Here plates and prices have Torres.Con Here of This model will be enough for the Torres and This model for Motherboards.

Another factor to consider is the architecture of the teams, if you want a good performance at a good price for decantarte AMD Architecture.
AMD offers superb quality in comparison with architectures based on Intel and its Pentium the difference is not noticeable in the performance but if the price.

Here I leave a process model based AMD 64-bit architecture you would do well, I've purchased, like the motherboard and Box of the same model and the truth that has come about quite profitable and powerful equipment.

The Ram Memory with 512MB will be enough for the Client machines. I advise you to this model 667 is compatible with the motherboard and processor with which I've ridden my friend's equipment. But do not forget to think about adding some more RAM to the price you have now I choose that other 2GB model at an incredible price.

Hard Disk, thinking it will only be used to store the OS and Programs with 160 GB capacity and SATA2 technology for me was enough model. But I was tempted to put them this other than by the price that you had to wonder.

With this we (as in my case) an expense not exceeding € 190 per team (this well is not it?) Without the keyboard, mouse, speakers and monitor bone Tower only now cometh to summarize recent prices relying on the models and brands that I have chosen to mount Clients:

I Buy this set of Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers, Headphones and Webcam , with this set more than enough anger and as you will see by the price they have and for Ciber are fine, and kill two or rather 5 birds a kick . What does not convince me is the Keyboard and Mouse are Inalanbricos, but are she liked the "Boss" which is the pay.

The Monitor , in my case I chose (or rather, the "Chief" elected) this model, which seemed an appropriate size and quality for Ciber. But Design is the Trae, Wood , almost nothing, but considering that is a Cyber usually play a lot, I think 19 "inches is pretty good.

Well the final price was about Team € 320 per unit, Power Sources us the gift with boxes, but I had thought about adding a model like this, who came out to 49 € each, but the end came with this another model but I preferred the other does not seem so bad at the end of the day are given away.
But I give you advice is not skimping on Power Supply, and you can play the entire team by a rise in current or malfunction of this.

Well as you have € 340 read you can mount a cyber equipment.

But if you prefer to buy it from and mounted, look this Offer of PCBOX than watching it only has less memory and no monitor and the latter a MONITOR 19''ASUS VW193D-B TFT WIDE BLACK / SILVER exiting € 122, every team we might as well € 421.
Well, I think we are interested in more mountainous Teams ourselves, do not you think?

As stated in the ads: look here and if you find something better purchasing and discuss it here so if anyone has thought mounted Ciber its own because it will save some "€ urillos" , which in these times of "Crisis" not tell you how we are.

A GREETING.

PUDI. @ s

What Happened To Chetna And Prithvi.

Cybercafe GNU / Linux, Part 1. Course

Hi Friends, I got an "Trabajito" for a friend who is mounting a Cibercafe based computers GNU / Linux .
Well, the issue is very sensitive especially in the Party "Economy, because what you save on licensing you can lose clientele. We know that the user great Mallorie Ciber this " Windomizados " therefore should follow certain guidelines or tips like these:
  1. I recommend you only put 20% of your machines with a GNU / Linux, for that business. Well if you put all your machines with GNU / Linux some find difficulty with the file system is a little different from Windows, because it may decrease the influx of users and falling business.
  2. If you are beginning to use GNU / Linux, you should hire someone to install and maintain your Ciber.
  3. must install a proxy server (squid ) with control of content ( dansguardian )
  4. Create an account called user or the like besides your own on each team (to be a limited account, can not manage the system-).
  5. publishes The user account with which your customers access the system, you perform a backup to be restored on startup, this is so that if you change the desktop settings of an application (something that can cause many problems ), such changes will be reversed automatically when the equipment.
  6. Set as home page in the web browser is a page explaining that GNU / Linux is a better choice than Microsoft Windows. As for Example:

http://www.obtengalinux.org/windows. Well

more or less these are the principles that have be taken into account "Convert" your Ciber with Free Software and Linux.

I'll make Postteando as the steps to achieve a functionality "decent" (I am very demanding and seek full functionality). need to create a work plan and divided into several parts, I have followed this approach:

  1. Mounting Hardware (previous equipment budget).
  2. Network Settings
  3. Installing on Server Operating Systems and Clients.
  4. Server Configuration.
  5. Program Setup Time Controller.
  6. Installation Program Management and Content limiting
  7. Account Creation and assignment of user permissions.
As this will be my approach, the first, referring to the purchase and installation of equipment both server and clients differed according to their characteristics.

But going with teams that have between 512M and 1GB of Ram , 40 or 60 GB Hard Drive and motherboards that have integrated all components will be sufficient to avoid a payout very large.
To Server I advise you not skimp on expenses as it will "Soul" of the whole Web and the many aspects depend on the performance of our cyber.

In the second step, the creation of the Network, I recommend if possible according to local distribution, is to build a network topology types Bus.
network cables can be bought assembled or make them yourself (cheapen the cost), if you decide to ride the same stop by this Entry , explain the types of cable and the steps to learn the assembly.

Well, the third aspect, Operating Systems, I at first mount Ubuntu and I really think a lot of confusion among customers, then I had the idea to install the Distro that CiberLinux CiberLinux as you can see that is very similar to Windows XP even noticed some people do change. HERE have the Web from the creators of CiberLinux for you to learn better.

As you can see CiberLinux is very similar to Windows XP.

Fifth Step, Creating User Accounts you think is best limited accounts. Unable to install anything without the permission of a password, you could avoid many problems. Remember that when you are going to do critical tasks in GNU / Linux , usually asking for a password, also the huge problem that exists with the customers is that some are very curious about what as the saying goes "Prevention is better than .." .

Sixth Step to control the time and charge what we (neither more nor less, just enough) the best program I found via a relative of the owner who is from Argentina and the same program is CMB, here you can informar.Necesitaremos install Wine Emulator Software , to work, but the truth is the best thing I could find and free Free.

As Content Manager application will use DansGuardian in Version 2.10 , like CMB is also Free Software and Free

And finally, the support teams that we have with Windows systems because as I advise you should not deploy Linux without further hit. We will ensure that you can share files between clients and the server and at any given time between customers. Nothing

the first, second and fourth item is up to you, purchase of equipment for your party and watch it if you want to mount it on Google find various manuals to carry out this step.
Same with Network Configuration, look at Google to understand a little the subject of Network Topology.

And for the Installation of operating systems on computers for customers looking here (if you do not use and instead CiberLinux Ubuntu 8.10) and for the server, you may assist this issue, and I advise you to install Debian in Version "Stable" think its codename Stable says it all.

Then on the other issues I will create a dedicated input to each subsequent installation and configuration of each step, so that we understand it better.
Nothing tomorrow start all this "job" and I hope that you too can wear out and besides Promocionar el Software Libre nos Ahorremos unos "€uros" .

UN SALUDO.

PUDIO.

Getting Internet On Sidekick

"Fast" Text Editor Vim

Si te preguntas ¿Para I want to use Vi, Gedit taking processors as or Abiword? , as for example, if you followed the guide Configuring a Server "Blind" you come from "Perilla" know how to use a word processor such as Vim.

The advantage of Vim to other word processors is that they run from the console, so we can dispense with the Graphical Environment and therefore the use of a monitor, as the case of a Server "blind" which have no keyboard, mouse and Monitor. Well
to Use Vim in our Team only thing we can do for your installation, run the following command:

julian @ ubuntu: ~ $ sudo apt-get install vim
Reading package lists ... Done
Building dependency tree Reading
state information ... Done
Suggested packages: ctags
vim-doc vim-scripts
will be installed following NEW packages vim

0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B/845kB of files.
1692kB will be used for additional disk space after unpacking.
Selecting previously deselected package vim.
(Reading database ...
155411 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking vim (from .../vim_1% 3a7.1.314-3ubuntu3_i386.deb) ...
Configuring vim (1:7.1.314-3ubuntu3) ...

and is already installed, now begin to use Vim:

first thing we should do is take a look at Vim Tutor, which teaches us Use with explanations and examples. To enter the Guardian click on the console I saw the following command:

julian @ ubuntu: ~ $ vimtutor

==================== ================================================== =========
= B ienvenidoaltutorde VIM - Version 1.4 =========================== =
================================================== ==

Vim is a very powerful editor that has many commands, too
to be explained in a tutor such as this. This tutorial is designed to describe
enough mandates for you to be able to
easily learn to use Vim as a general-purpose editor.

The time required to complete the tutor is approximately
25-30 minutes, depending on how much time is devoted to experimentation.

The mandates of these lessons will change the text. Make a copy of this file
to practice (to "vimtutor" this is already a copy).

is important to remember that this tutorial is designed to teach
practice. This means that it is necessary to implement the mandates
to learn them properly. If you only read the text, forget
mandates.

Now, make sure the caps lock key is not enabled
and press the j key enough to move the cursor
so that Lesson 1.1 completely fill the screen.
"/ tmp/tutorQv8124" [Become] 769 lines, 28041 characters

After reviewing the Tutor to create a file, run the command: vim filename
and see the following in the Console: julian @

ubuntu: ~ $ vi PruebaVi

~ ~ ~

~ ~
"PruebaVi" [New File] 0.0 to 1 All

Now a clarification, Vi has two modes, Normal Mode and insert mode.

in insert mode, as its name suggests, we can insert text into our archive or document and pass on to insert mode by pressing the Send "I" once created the file.

And to switch to Normal mode will press the key "Esc" and we can not insert text. But if we can move all the files in case you need to change a word.

has to start Insert Text pressing the letter "i" (insert mode) if we want to start inserting text at the cursor position. We will see that we can start that has write at the end of the console see:

- INSERT -

But if we insert text in the next blank space after the cursor, press the letter "a ". Examples:

Press "I"

to test (the first letter is inserted in the "A" Test).

Press "A"

to Test (the first letter is inserted with a space before the "A" test).

Vim To Exit Saving Changes made to a file, press the following keys: Shift +

"w". (uppercase, two points w)

Vi To Exit Saving Changes and Closing the document, press: Shift +

": wq" (capitalized and a colon wq)

can "save " the two previous orders by clicking the following combination of keys, which guardará el Documento y saldremos de Vim:

s Hi everyone, are 6:30 am and finally I managed to configure the USB Modem

Icon 225, Orange.
This USB Modem as an offer to acquire Orange Internet Everywhere
and was accompanied by a
Acer Aspire On in which I installed Ubuntu 8.10 you can see it HERE. As the challenge was to configure the connection this
3G Modem and this
Laptop as I am very "Cabezón" at the end I succeeded. (At 6.30 am, but got). The information I have achieved in this Web
, is in French and my little knowledge in this language, because I could create this entry. If you had doubts Offer to Acquire Orange or another company that will give you the Icon 225 Modem , then do not hesitate to assure you follow this guide to get connect.

Ideas For Football Initiation

of Sudden Death.

Hi Friends @ s. Surely many you have suffered in your Acer Aspire

and
On the Call Black Screen Syndrome . One day, you are preparing to turn the team and suddenly you see only light comes on Power
not see anything on the screen and no activity of any kind on the hard disk. To me has happened in the New Laptop for my daughter, was composing a work for the College, went to lunch and when I restart the system met the
called "Black Screen Syndrome"

Symptoms are like Had "Dead." As I have read on the Internet, the cases are numerous. was initially blamed the use of modules of of RAM 667Mhz . But then the theory was contradicted, as they found the same symptoms in users who were using 533Mhz memory
(as recommended by Acer).

Finally, it seems that the new BIOS surely have updated or not the 3114 version

is defective and is causing the laptop is damaged over time. Or as in many cases without having updated the Bios just happens the same.

the moment I recommend using the older version, ie the BIOS version 3109
with which came the Aspire One
factory.
Anyway, do not worry, there is already a very easy solution to recover your Aspire One that can continue in this web (but is in English).
with my little English I have translated the guide into English, the fact is that the translation sucks, but mistranslated or works.

first thing we need is the following:
A separate team of
Aspire One
and if possible with Windows XP

. A Pendrive 128M or 256M be enough. HP USB Flash (Program Pendrives create autorrancables) MS-DOS files
(download the same)

File Recovery (BIOS 3109), and is renamed to ZG5IA32.FD because v3114 is the cause of " death "of the Aspire One and apparently this does not give the same problem once restored the laptop, will both based models 110 and 150 versions of the Aspire One

NOTE: Links I leave for should it fail Downloads:

  1. started "Resuscitate" our Aspire One, following these steps:
  2. 1 .- we have the Aspire One plugged and the battery in place in case the power goes out. NOTE:
  3. If suddenly shuts off the equipment during the upgrade because of a power outage unusable the BIOS chip, cause total loss of equipment, so make sure you have the battery fully
  4. charged before Proceed with its restoration.
  5. 2 .- We connected to a USB Flash Drive the other team (not in the Aspire One). 3 .- We go to the directory where you downloaded the software and Unzip the file
  6. HPUSBFW.rar
the bootme.zip
and
File Recovery (BIOS).
4 .- Run the file
HPUSBFW.exe
and see the following:

select our Pendrive drop-down menu "Device" . In "Format Options" mark:
Quick Format

in Box Create a DOS startup disk in Using DOS system files Located at:

select the folder "bootm" to be created after unzip the file bootme.zip. Making a choice
as FAT file system. Then hit Start
and we say "YES" . We hope to finish.

NOTE: If you use
you run Windows Vista as an administrator, for that press the right mouse button on the file and select: Run as administrator

.
5 .- When end HPUSBFW create the boot Pendrive
,
copy in the root directory of the files Pendrive:
FLASHIT.EXE and ZG5IA32.FD (bios 3109 and renamed) that come with file recovery .

6 .- now plugged into a USB port on the Aspire One the Pendrive. ATTENTION: The Aspire One has to be with the battery and connected to power. 7 .- Press and hold at the same time the keys: FN + ESC and without checking by pressing the Power button . After a few seconds (10.15 s or so) we let the FN + ESC keys
and see how the LED of
Power button flashes.

8 .- continued to press the button once Power and begin the process of flashing and Restoration. Although we do not see anything on the screen
not interrupt IN NO FLASHING PROCESS OF
BIOS and that we would not team with no possibility of Back to Recuperaralo.
After a while the Power button stops flashing and the computer will restart itself. Nothing, have patience and if you leave the First again Try again, but I assure you that if you follow the steps correctly in about five minutes, you will have your Aspire One and the First Day Sources for this tutorial: http:// macles.blogspot.com/2008/08/acer-aspire-one-bios-recovery.html (English) A GREETING.

  • 1900 is the resolution of the image of each of the screens and each of the cameras (one camera per screen).
  • 65 "is the size of each screen.
  • 4 20 Amp outlets needed for CTP3000.
  • 10
  • paliet is what holds the CTP3000p when this ENVAL.
  • 7975 is the model of Cisco IP phone to control your computer using TelePresence (instead of a remote control).
  • 4
  • are models of end-point telepresence (3000, 3200, 1000 and 500).
  • 400 KB or more should be the input buffer switch which connects the end-poing.
  • 1740 packets per second transmitted CTP3000 in maximum image quality.
  • 1 Gbps interface must be the switch to which it connects.
  • 5.5 Mbps occupies each of the video streams (the CTP3000 uses 3 flows). 200
  • restardo is more than the maximum allowed on the link to point to point.
  • 40 ms is the maximum jitter
  • 0.2% packet loss is the maximum allowed

48

is interesting to review all the statistics (daily, weekly, monthly and so on) for a more comprehensive idea of \u200b\u200bthe situation. Doing a quick summary is interesting as always ClamAV above Panda and McAfee, and although the top constantly changing from test to test, Nod32 and always kept up AVG7 at the top.
It is noteworthy that these tests do not really determine the best antivirus for a job as antivirus solutions are not only used its database of signatures to detect a virus. There are already several products that are able to analyze the "behavior" of the processes and based on these determine whether they are a potential virus or malware and blocks.

But if such tests are very important when thinking about antivirus solutions for mail servers, proxy servers, or to add a virus to a server with shared resources, because for this type of signature detection services is the best (if not the only) way of detecting viruses. For such situations, this type of evidence should eventually prove decisive. Checking

ShadowServer.org page we will also find other statistics that do, such as statistics DDOS attacks, botnets and many others. For example the following is one of the graphs generated where the number of botnets muestasn

I have not checked the page or too much detail, but the agenda for review more relaxed when I get home.

What Doe The Blue Colour Bands Mean

Cisco Security Agent and Cisco trends

was clear that Cisco changed its business plan and the direction I take are the services and applications, but without neglecting the network equipment.

As part of the Cisco Networkers 2008, I attended the talk of "Understanding the threat mitigation techniques host-based" which was in itself a talk explaining the "Cisco Security Agent", which as the name is a small agent that monitors and / or blocks the actions and processes that occur in the workplace or servers and managed centrally. Highlights

have a couple like that can generate policies automatically in behavior based on many computers, has for several operating systems including Solaris and Linux is included RedHat and all agents report to a centralized server simple requests through https, but without knowing the other competing products, these items do not think that will make a competitive advantage.

good thing and it sure is an interesting advantage is that not only checks local, but that monitors network traffic generated by each host, and mode of learning or filtering it can integrate the detection system Intruder (IDS) or with the switch and router to change the rules of access and filter external traffic or to change the rules of QoS.

Another interesting point is that the CSA is not antivirus or antispyware, and to provide a more comprehensive solution integrated ClamAV

to your product, and according to the speaker's comments Cisco is helping with the creation of new firms virus, but could not find any information "more official" to back him this information.
This, once again we see that Cisco has been friendly
Linux and Open Source, from creating their agents for Linux (ok, for now this is only for RedHat, but now comes the Suse and possibly any more) to begin integrating Open Source software in their products, and who knows what's next ....
